DUBLIN, Ireland - Backed by IDA Ireland, technology company eBECS has announced the creation of 100 new jobs in Ireland.
eBECS, which is a Microsoft Gold Partner, specializes in delivering Microsoft business applications.
The company established operations in Ireland in 2016 and has now said that as part of its new recruitment drive, it would be creation 100 new jobs, which will be remote working positions.
This, the company said means that successful applicants can work from home or from anywhere in Ireland.
eBECS said in its statement that the new roles are spread across both its Microsoft Certified Professionals (MCP’s) and both their graduate and return to work programme.
Making the announcement, James Finnegan, eBECS Ireland country manager, said, "eBECS has been excited by the capabilities of our existing staff in Ireland and the digital transformation that it has provided to our customers. We feel the ability for our staff to work from home, or anywhere within Ireland provides staff with a unique work/life balance.”
The company’s returnship programme reaches out to people who perhaps have significant business skills, but have been unemployed for at least 18 months, giving them a chance to re-enter the jobs market.
Finnegan added, "We are now looking to accelerate the hiring of additional talent from Ireland. We feel the ability for our staff to work from home, or anywhere within Ireland provides staff with a unique work/life balance."
IDA Ireland chief executive Martin Shanahan and the Minister for Business Enterprise & Innovation Heather Humphreys T.D. welcoming the company’s announcement.
Shanahan said that increasingly some of the world's best-known brands are moving towards the innovative remote working business model.
He added, "Today's announcement represents a fantastic opportunity for individuals to work from home in regional locations and enjoy a better work/life balance.”
Humphreys meanwhile said that the company's unique business model means staff can be based anywhere in the country and added, “This is a really exciting, innovative, company which is paving the way for more flexible and family friendly forms of working.”
