Gardai seize cocaine in Limerick raid

LIMERICK, Ireland - In an operation led by the Divisional Drugs Unit, officers raided a house in Caherdavin.

Along with assistance from Gardai from the Henry Street Detective Unit, the Divisional Drugs Unit said that a residence in Mossgrove Avenue in Caherdavin was raided.

During the raid, Gardai seized approximately 1,800 euros worth of suspected cocaine.

A gardai spokesman said in a statement, During the course of the search gardai seized approximately 1800 worth of cocaine, pending analysis, along with drug paraphernalia."

Gardai said that a man in his late 40s had been arrested at the scene and brought to the Henry Street Garda station.

He was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 and has since been charged.
