BRAY, Ireland - In an operation involving a crackdown on drugs, Revenue officers seized approximately 3.6 kgs of the herbal cannabis.
Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and gardaí from the Drugs Unit in Bray garda station carried out the operation at a house in Bray.
As part of the operation, Revenue officers seized approximately 3.6kgs of the drug, which was believed to be worth 70,000 euros.
Further, a man in his 40s was arrested after the herbal cannabis was seized during a search of the residence under warrant.
Officials said that the operation was part of ongoing joint investigations targeting drug importations.
Meanwhile, the man has been arrested and detained under section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Bray garda station.
