Shanagh tragedy: Man found dead in house fire

CORK, Ireland - In a tragic incident, a man was found dead after being involved in a house fire in West Cork.

Gardai from the Clonakilty Garda station rushed to a spot in Shanagh, after an alarm was raised.

Upon arriving at the isolated property just north of Dunmanway just after 10.30 am, Gardai found the house ablaze.

Further, the body of the man in his early 40s was located inside.

Emergency services were alerted.

The area was subsequently sealed off for a full technical examination.

Gardai have launched an investigation and have said that early indications suggest that the fire started accidentally.
