DUBLIN, Ireland - As part of an intelligence-led Operation targeting Organised Crime Groups operating in the North Dublin area, a joint Operation was conducted by the Revenue's Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and Gardai from the Drugs Unit in Ballymun earlier this week.
During the course of the operation, which took place on Tuesday, a package containing approximately 1.2 Kg of Herbal Cannabis, with an estimated value of euro24,000, together with other drugs-related paraphernalia, was seized by Customs Officers at an apartment in the Coolock area of North Dublin.
Gardai arrested a 21 year old man in connection with the investigation.
He is currently detained at Ballymun Garda Station.
Gardai say that investigations are continuing.
