CO LOUTH, Ireland - The body of a man has been discovered on a road near Termonfeckin, in Co. Louth.
The grim discovery was made on Sunday afternoon around 1:00pm.
The body was taken from the scene on Baltray Road to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. A post mortem is scheduled to take place in due course and the results of which, gardai say, will determine the course of the investigation.
Gardai in Drogheda have commenced an investigation into the circumstances of the man's death.
Investigating officers do not believe the discovery of the body has any connection with the brutal murder and dismemberment of 17-year old Keane Mulready-Woods, who disappeared in Drogheda last Sunday night, and whose body parts were found in separate locations on Monday and Wednesday.
