DUBLIN, Ireland - Raids by the Criminal Assets Bureau in Dublin and Wicklow have resulted in the freezing of various bank accounts, and the confiscation of euros and foreign currency.
The searches, of which there were a number, were carried out on Thursday.
The CAB says €248,149 in various bank accounts have been frozen.
A further €11,800 and $4,000 Australian Dollars, together with Rolex watches, were seized during the searches.
"Today's operation is seen as a significant development in CAB targeting Organised Crime Gangs involved in committing rural crimes across the country," statement from CAC published on Thursday said.
