DUBLIN, Ireland - A search in suburban Dublin on Saturday has resulted in the discovery and seizure of €117,000 in cash, a vehicle and a Rolex watch.
The search operation was carried out by GNDOCB in the northside Dublin suburb of Coolock.
A man, aged 35 years, was arrested on suspicion of involvement in money laundering. He is currently detained at Coolock Garda Station.
"We continue to target those causing most harm in our community. This seizure of a significant quantity of cash will, we believe, contribute to the disruption and potential ultimate dismantling of particular organised crime groups that we continue to target, building on the earlier success achieved, in recent years," Assistant Commissioner John O'Driscoll, head of Organised and Serious Crime, said Sunday.
