FRANKFURT, June 21 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index up 155.20 points, or 1.00 percent, to close at 15,603.24 points.
Automotive manufacturer Volkswagen won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 3.78 percent. Automotive manufacturer Daimler and material manufacturer Covestro gained by 2.96 percent and 2.70 percent respectively.
European health care company Fresenius SE, multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer and renal dialysis equipment supplier Fresenius Medical were the top three losers among the blue chips, by falling 2.20 percent, 1.06 percent and 1.03 percent respectively.
Chemical group BASF was the most-traded share with a turnover of 224.03 million euros (266.39 million U.S. dollars).
China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, lost 2.98 percent to close at 1.650 euros per share on Monday.
