Lions name team to tackle WP at Ellis Park

Lions coach Ivan van Rooyen has named his team for their midweek Currie Cup clash against Western Province in Johannesburg.

The Lions, who lost 39-10 to the Pumas in their opening game in Nelspruit last Friday, welcome back back a few players for the clash, including Ruben Schoeman, Jaco Visagie and Morne van den Berg.

The clash at Ellis Park kicks off at 19:00 on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, for the 3 July match against the British & Irish Lions, the men from Johannesburg are expected to have several stalwarts available again.

These include Jannie du Plessis, Jaco Kriel, MJ Pelser, Roelof Smit, Divan Rossouw, Stean Pienaar, Burger Odendaal, Sti Sithole, Courtnall Skosan and Asenathi Ntlabakanye.
