DUBLIN, Ireland - Two teenagers, one a juvenile, were arrested in Dublin on Wednesday in connection with the seizure of two shotguns in a search late last week.
The two youths, one aged 17 and the other 19, were taken into custody on Thursday and were detained at Tallaght Garda Station.
The arrests follow a search last Friday at an address in Tallaght.
As part of an intelligence-led operation, gardai conducted the search of a property in the Tallaght area shortly after 4:00pm.
Two shotguns were recovered from the property during the search operation. Both firearms have been sent to the Ballistics Unit for analysis.
Meantime on Thursday morning gardai advised the two young men arrested have since been released without charge.
A file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Investigations, gardai say, are ongoing.
