CO WATERFORD, Ireland - A new 'learn to cycle' park in Dungarvan, Co Waterford, aims to help children and beginners acquire confidence when pedaling in a near-real-life setting - but without motor traffic.

The 50,000 Euros development is located in Linear Park in west Waterford town, close to the immensely popular Waterford Greenway and next to an existing playground.

Other facilities, such as a skatepark, BMX area, and dance zone, are also planned for the region in the coming months by the local municipality in collaboration with the Waterford Walls art group.

With roads, traffic signs, white and yellow lines, and a pedestrian crossing, the track teaches inexperienced riders to navigate routes while avoiding cars and trucks.
