DUBLIN, Ireland: Ireland's Brooke Scullion will not represent Ireland at the 2022 Eurovision contest.

Though well received on the stage at PalaOlimpico in Turin this week during the Eurovision second semi-final, she failed to win a place in Saturday's grand final.

The 22-year-old Scullion, from Derry, performed the upbeat pop track That's Rich.

When Ireland last qualified for the Eurovision final in 2018, Ryan O'Shaughnessy sang his song Together.

Scullion faced a roaring crowd as she began her song, but she did not receive enough votes to move on in the competition.

She was competing among 18 countries for 10 places in the final.
