DUBLIN, Ireland - Monthly factory gate prices in Ireland increased by 0.5% last month, the CSO said Wednesday. This compares to a decrease of 1.5% for May of last year. The annual percentage change showed an increase of 7.3% in May 2022, compared to an increase of 5.2% in the year to April 2022.

In the month, the price index for export sales increased 0.3%, while the index for home sales increased 1.5%.
In the year there was an increase of 7.2% in the price index for export sales (this can be influenced by currency fluctuations) and an increase of 7.9% in respect of the price index for home sales.
Wholesale energy product prices decreased by 28.5% compared to April 2022, mainly driven by the decrease in wholesale electricity prices.
