DUBLIN, Ireland: Government officials have said they expect 60,000 Ukrainian refugees will be living in Ireland by the end of the year.

To date, 48,700 Ukrainians have fled to Ireland.

Meanwhile, RTE News reports that the number of arrivals from Ukraine dropped to 90 per day, but have again increased to some 126 per day.

If the average number of arrivals remains at 100 per day, the total number of Ukrainians in Ireland will reach 59,000 by the end of the year, noted officials.

Ireland is housing more than 32,000 Ukrainians in "serviced accommodation", such as hotels, hostels, B&Bs and commercial self-catering settings.

Additionally, 900 Ukrainians are living in emergency tented accommodations, and 4,500 people are being housed in homes pledged by the public.
