CO KILKENNY, Ireland - A man in his 40s has died following a three-car collision on the N10 at Templemartin, Co Kilkenny, on Saturday afternoon.
The crash occurred shortly before 4:30pm and involved three vehicles. The man, who was the sole occupant of one of the cars, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A man and a woman travelling in a second vehicle were taken to St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. The occupants of the third car did not require immediate medical treatment.
Emergency services, including Gardaí and paramedics, attended the scene, and the local coroner has been notified. A full forensic examination of the crash site will be carried out by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
The N10 remains closed in both directions between the M9 Exit 8 junction and the Hebron Road roundabout, with local diversions expected to stay in place overnight.
Gardaí are investigating the circumstances of the collision and have appealed to anyone who may have been travelling in the area around the time to come forward. Those with dash-cam footage are particularly urged to contact Kilkenny Garda Station.
