DUBLIN, Ireland - Gardaí have seized drugs with an estimated street value of more than €100,000 during an operation in Dublin.
The drugs were recovered following a search of a premises in the Rialto area on Wednesday, as part of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the Dublin Metropolitan Region.
The search was carried out by the Dublin Metropolitan Region South Central Divisional Drugs Unit, with the assistance of the Divisional Crime Taskforce.
During the operation, gardaí recovered suspected cocaine with an estimated value of €25,970, suspected cannabis vapes worth €12,000, suspected diamorphine valued at €35,994 and suspected zopiclone tablets worth €32,480. A quantity of cash and drug-related paraphernalia was also seized.
A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene and is currently being detained at a Garda station in south Dublin under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
Investigations are ongoing.
