CO TIPPERARY, Ireland - Gardai are appealing for urgent witness information following a serious road traffic collision in Cashel, Co. Tipperary, which left a man in his 20s hospitalized with serious injuries.
The incident occurred on the Clonmel Road (R692) shortly after 11:00 pm on Sunday night. Emergency services, including Gardaí, responded to the scene following reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, described as an adult male in his 20s, was swiftly attended to at the scene before being transported to Cork University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. No other injuries were reported following the incident.
Garda Forensic Collision Investigators conducted a thorough technical examination of the scene overnight. The road has since been fully reopened to traffic.
As part of their investigation, Gardaí are appealing specifically to three drivers who are believed to have passed by the pedestrian on the road shortly before the collision occurred. They are appealing to these individuals to come forward as they may have vital information.
In addition to general witness appeals, investigators are keen to speak with any road users who were travelling on the Clonmel Road (R692) in Cashel between 10:30 pm and 11:00 pm on Sunday night. They are asking anyone with a dash-cam or other camera footage from that time and location to make it available to them.
