CO LONGFORD, Ireland - A man in his 80s remains in critical condition after being struck by a car on Tuesday morning.
Emergency services were called to a scene at Earl Street in Longford around 10:00 am Tuesday. The elderly man was treated on site by medics before being airlifted to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin with serious injuries.
Gardai have opened an investigation into the tragedy and have appealed for witnesses.
