CO KERRY, Ireland - A man has been killed as two cars collided on the N22 near Dromadeesirt, Co. Kerry on Saturday night.
The fatal crash occurred around 6:40pm Saturday.
Gardaí and emergency services on arrival surveyed the wreckage. The driver of one of the cars, a man aged in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body was taken to the local mortuary where a post-mortem is expected to take place in due course.
The other driver, a man aged in his 30s, was taken to University Hospital Kerry for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life threatening at this time.
\No other injuries were reported. The road was closed for examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, while local diversions on the N22 are were put in place at both Scart Cross and Lawlors Cross.
Any motorist, who may have camera footage (including dashcam) and was travelling on the N22 near Dromadeesirt between 6:20pm and 6:50pm on Saturday night is asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
