In a statement, An Garda Síochana has made a renewed and urgent appeal to the media, asking for space and time to conduct the sensitive search operation without interference. Authorities have confirmed they are aware that a small number of media individuals have attempted to make direct, unsolicited contact with persons connected to the investigation.
Gardai have stressed that these attempts are not only unwanted but are actively having a "direct negative impact" on the investigation, potentially hindering progress.
Citing operational sensitivity and the need for sympathy for all involved, Gardai reiterated that they are still not in a position to publicly identify the missing boy or his family at this time. They say they continue to engage with all relevant persons connected to the case.
