Irish roads claim life of yet another motorcyclist

CO WICKLOW, Ireland - Yet another motorcyclist has been killed on Irish roads.

The latest fatality came on Wednesday on the R117 at Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow. A man in his 30s was riding a motorcycle on the R117 around 7:40am Wednesday when his bike collided with a car. The motorcyclist, after being treated at the scene, was rushed to St. Vincent's University Hospital in serious condition. The man later died in hospital.

There were no other injuries reported as a result of the twin-vehicle collision. The scene was subject to technical examination by Forensic Collision Investigators. The road has since reopened.  

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 7:00am and 8:00am on Wednesday are asked to make this footage available to investigating officers.
