CO CLARE, Ireland - Searches in County Clare in Ireland have resulted in the seizure of two quantities of drugs,and the arrest of a man.
The first search, carried out under warrant by officers from the Clare Divisional Drugs Unit in east Clare saw the seizure of approximately 5kg of cannabis with an estimated value of €100,000.
A follow-up search at a second property, also in east Clare, resulted in the seizure of a quantity of cannabis with an estimated value of €15,000.
The man arrested, who is aged in his 30s, was detained at a Garda Station in Co. Clare overnight on Friday but on Saturday was released without charge..
The seized drugs have been sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
A statement issued by Gardai on Saturday said investigations are continuing.
