CO CORK, Ireland - A single-vehicle road traffic collision has resulted in the death of a man in County Cork.
The fatal crash occurred around 1.50pm on Wednesday afternoon.
The driver of the car, a man aged his 50s, was driving his car when it crashed at the Sarsfield Roundabout, Wilton, in Cork City,
He was rushed to Cork University Hospital, however doctors were unable to save him.
The Coroner was notified, and a post-mortem examination was scheduled to take place.
The road where the collision occurred was closed so the scene could be preserved for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
The road has since reopened.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dashcam) and were travelling in the area between 1:00pm and 2:00pm on Wednesday 3rd December 2025, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
